The final image of the El Camino Series along the with “The Other Side.”
Since I was making the series of Journey of Life and Light, this image I titled “Paradise” as well as “The Other Side” fit as the final images of El Camino series, that illustrate having walked through this tunnel and reach wide open area like a paradise with lots of lights of hope.
I had a day trip to Versailles from Paris with my friend who lives there. As we left this place in the evening, I turned and looked back at where we were….where we visited, and I felt urge to photograph the scene. As usual at that time, I photographed with black and white film with SLR camera with multiple exposures using tripod.
Photographed 2002, developed films, printed on fiber photographic paper in my darkroom in New York, 2002-2005. Using different sepia toners. process was done. No computer manipulation. Now, it became vintage prints. The prints are surprisingly great condition – No change from the time I printed because I printed with archival process back then.
