L.I.P.Y. in Stars and Desert

L.I.P.Y. #1 to #4 (above), 24 x 24 x1 inch, encaustic mixed media.

This L.I.P.Y. is very special because you can display them with many options on the wall. Changeable. How to arrange them.

The title “L.I.P.Y.” is my acronym of “L’essentiel est Invisible pour les Yeux” (=What is essential is invisible to the eye) in French. I was originally inspired by this phrase in the renowned book The Little Prince (by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry), which I have a collection of the same title in different translations; the original French book, my first one was Spanish translation, then English translation, and recent years I finally got three Japanese translation versions. So, obviously, big fan of the book.

And also, after my research, I felt moved by and agreed the Bible verses:

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.  (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

So, I created some  mixed media work as the L.I.P.Y. series under my Stars and Desert project/series.

There are also smaller L.I.P.Y. #5 and #6 that I created with green shades. And there are three more related pieces of L.I.P.Y. that became corporate collections in the late year and those organizations are hanging the art in their office as a symbol of a reminder of the message (That’s what they say 😊)
